All known pictures of Glacier Bay succession plots (so far)

Below are the plot images recovered so far.  The progression from bare rock/lichens to alders and, in some cases, beyond to spruce (Q2) is impressive.  You can also see substantial differences based on where the plots are located in the bay - Q7 & Q8 are much more diverse and it is relatively obvious that species were able to colonize quicker, likely due to less spatial constraints relative to the other plots.  Note that the plots were established in 1916 (between 20-30 years post glacial recession, depending on the plot).

There are many blank spots, obviously.  The dates are visits, and not all plots were visited each trip, but certainly there were more pictures taken.  I am planning another visit to the Minnesota archives to attempt to discover more plot data to better reconstruct both the images and the data associated with each plot over the last 100 years...
